Guacamole Recipe

I recently made my first guacamole dip from fresh ingredients—
people say they like it, it did taste good so thought I’d share.

I cannot make claim to the recipe, it is an amalgamation of various ones I encountered on the internet…
Feeds at least 5.

The ingredients are best if gotten as fresh and organic.

  • 7 avocados
  • 5 roma tomatoes
  • 2 limes
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 jalepeno pepper (or more- to taste)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small bunch cilantro [optional]
  • 2 celery stalks [optional]
  • 2 scallions (green onions) [optional]

Cut & scoop the innards of the avocados, mashing together.

Juice the limes, pour the juice into the bowl with the mashed avocados.

Dice the 5 roma tomatoes- putting all into the bowl with the rest

continue to stir / mash it in

Dice the jalapneo(s)– add to mix

continue to stir / mash it in

mince the cloves of garlic– add to mix

continue to stir / mash it in

take the 1 teaspoon of curry powder– mix it in
Use red/yellow/green based upon your desired hotness/kick

on the optional items, each set needs to be diced and mixed in–
you get the drift.

that’s it!

The curry powder adds an extra element of exotic/unknown that will keep the die-hards coming back for more and still wondering what’s good/different about the dip..

And of course- the lime juice will keep the whole concoction from turning that nasty/sickly green color after prolonged exposure to air…in addition to giving it a nice zest.
